As someone diagnosed with a congenital heart disorder, this has special meaning for me. Paul Youngson has undertaken an 18 month quest to trade a piece of old rope for something better. At the end of 18 months he plans to auction of the final item and give all of the proceeds to a charity that supports adults with congenital heart disorders.

You can finally break the speed limit without feeling guilty! There, with the road cleared of traffic, Highway Patrol allowed unlimited speeds and planned to ‘catch’ each car on radar and write out a ticket. The “offender” would pay the “fine” to charity and get to keep the speeding ticket as a memento. Several drivers had planned to frame the tickets as proof they had been “caught” doing 150 or more.

2 Police Die During Charity Bike Race For Deceased Officers

A van driving alongside bicyclists riding to raise money for slain police officers was struck by a truck and spun into the group, killing a state trooper and a retired sheriff’s official, authorities said. Ironic.
